Pakistan’s star batsman and former captain, Babar Azam, has achieved another significant milestone by becoming the highest run-scorer in T20 International cricket.
During the second T20 match between Pakistan and South Africa in Lahore, Babar came to bat with 4,223 runs from 122 innings in 129 matches. He needed just 9 runs to surpass the record set by Indian captain Rohit Sharma, which he accomplished with ease.
Babar Azam is now the record-holding batsman in T20 International cricket, amassing a total of 4,232 runs. In comparison, Rohit Sharma has scored 4,231 runs in 159 matches. Babar reached this milestone in only 130 matches and 122 innings, maintaining an impressive average of 39.46.
